For me, Mamula Island whispers connection—in the waves, in the walls, in the sky. Here, past and present embrace, and connection comes alive, each moment confirming the beauty of belonging—with the strength of nature, the wisdom of history, the stone that holds our steps, the sea that carries our dreams, and the timeless flow that reminds us we are part of something greater. It is a place to feel!

This place reminded me of my passion for hospitality and how much I enjoy creating meaningful experiences for others. It also reinforced my appreciation for nature, culture, and the importance of working with a team that shares the same values.

If I could gift one part of this experience to someone else, I would give it to my children. What I would love to pass on to them is the trust and confidence my leaders have shown in me here at Banyan Tree Tamouda Bay. That feeling of being believed in, encouraged, and empowered is truly priceless! Especially in a world that is becoming increasingly challenging on a human and social level.

I joined Angsana Velavaru during COVID-19, a challenging time in life. From day one, it felt like family, with everyone supporting each other. Angsana Velavaru taught me that titles and hierarchy are temporary, but kindness, empathy, and how we treat others leave a lasting impression. This is my story of passion and gratitude.
