Rising like a dream from the heart of Vietnam, the Garrya Mù Cang Chải is more than a destination—it is a living poem in stone, wood, and light. Every curve and line of its architecture feels as though it has grown from the landscape itself, shaped by the ricefields that surround it. Here, architecture is not built, but born and it embraced me with both wonder and belonging.

At Banyan Tree Singapore, I reunited with family I hadn’t seen in a year. Between skyline views, laughter over meals, and the quiet joy of simply being together, I discovered that the greatest journeys are not measured in miles but in moments. This stay brought me the gift of reconnection, reminding me that love is the truest destination.

When I checked into the Banyan Tree in Bangkok, I carried with me the noise of the city — endless traffic, the bright chaos of the markets, the hurried rhythm of daily life. But high above the skyline, in the quiet of the Banyan Tree’s rooftop, I re-discovered something I had forgotten: the gift of stillness.

If this place were a feeling, what would it be and why?
Bauhan Bali, the spirit from the mother nature give me such emotional memory of thinking of my own mother who pasted away. I miss her so much. Holiday at Bauhan with my own daughter is so precious moment as a single mum myself. Beside we are surrounding the wonderful nature, The staffs made us so welcome, friendly, with lovely smile every day and saving awesome foods. Thank you Bauhan Bali. x

The feeling I would have for this place would be immense love, for my wonderful wife now sadly passed on, leaving me with wonderful memories of the so friendly people of Thailand, especially the people we met who looked after us so well in theBanyan Tree Phuket.

In the quiet of Banyan Tree Lijiang, the majestic Jade Mountain rose before me. I stood in awe. There and then, by the still waters reflecting the sky, I caught a glimpse of the tranquility that I was looking for. Fifteen years on, that tranquility has settled within me. And if I return to see the Jade Mountain, it will not be to seek refuge, but to stand before it in gratitude and at peace.

This journey invited me to let go of the noise — the constant rush, the mental clutter, the pressure to always be 'on.' It asked me to release the habit of measuring time by productivity and instead experience the value of stillness. I let go of the belief that rest is indulgent, and saw it as essential."
