What surprised me the most was how deeply I felt at ease here. It felt like time slowed down, and I could truly enjoy every moment. I didn’t realize how much I needed this sense of calm until I arrived.

If this place were a feeling, it would be a warm hug. It gives me a sense of comfort, calm, and belonging — like being exactly where I’m meant to be.
Was there a moment when you felt part of something larger than yourself?
This image gives a sense of peace, relaxation, and hope. The woman is looking up at the sky at sunrise or sunset, a beautiful and peaceful moment. The golden light of the sun shining on her face adds a warm and inspiring touch.
What did this place remind you about yourself?
This place reminded me of the importance of slowing down and simply being present. Amid quiet gardens and gentle smiles, I remembered how peace feels when I stop rushing through life. Luang Prabang taught me that calm isn’t found elsewhere—it’s something I can carry within.
How did this journey reconnect you with something you had forgotten?
This journey reminded me of the pure, unconditional feeling of love — something I had forgotten in the busyness of everyday life. It reconnected me with the warmth of giving and receiving love freely, without expectation.
What inspired you here?
Life is meant to be happy not by luck, but by choice. Every sunrise is a reminder to begin again, to love deeper, and to smile a little more.
If this place were a feeling, what would it be and why?
This place is very beautiful, comfortable, the staff was wonderful. Especially the location of HOMM Souvannaphoum Hotel is very nice. I wish I could come back to this wonderful place soon.
Was there a moment when you felt part of something larger than yourself?
During our stay at Banyan Tree Bintan, we were fortunate to take part in the resort’s turtle release program — a heartwarming conservation initiative. Learning about their low survival rates gave the moment deeper significance, we released off with a quiet wish that they’d survive and one day return to these shores.
